How to use Google doc for paper citation and maintaining bibliography

Most of us  have been using Google Docs to create basic documents and spreadsheets but did you know that Google’s cloud-based Office suite can do even more,as most of us get this feature of using the Google drive for free so why not use it for our daily and essential purpose.
People for instance who write research paper, project or thesis work have to deal with various task while creating a write up for paper or thesis or project report.

One of the most crucial part as a student or researcher working in research field of any kind is to deal with citation, bibliography etc ,if the paper is big then it's really gruesome to track back and do the citation and maintain bibliography. Many people are not comfortable with latex where one can make small .bib  file and while you write a paper if you can directly make in-line citation .

But I think Google doc is an excellent option for to substitute for all the citation software available such as EndNote  which is one of the most used software for citation and bibliography in Windows and mac,JabRef

But most of this programs are proprietary and open source ,but using Google doc you can save your time and same time you can do it as good as other citation program

So I would show you how you can create a paper and the same time put citation and keep track of your bibilography as well.

Open
  • Google Docs -->>> Google Docs
  • Next go to Tool bar ,click the too bar
  • See a pop down menu
  • You will find Research as one of the menu click on that

Now you can see after clicking the Research menu you see a box coming out on the right side where it is showing research ,now below the research choose the Scholar menu ,now you can also further choose the citation style you intend to use such as MLA, APA or Chicago style

I hope this tips would help for writing your paper in a better and efficient manner.
